Obituary

I am heartbroken to announce the death of my brother, James Arthur Dupree III. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 45 on September 16,2022.

James was the son of Natalie Holman & James Arthur Dupree Jr. James, also lovingly referred to as “Batman” or “Tok” was very much a man of God and gave his life to the mentoring of others to help with their recovery transition among many other things.

He was a very outspoken person that lived life to the fullest. He was always available to offer his ear, his heart and certainly, everything he thought. Once you met him, you’d never forget the experience. He enjoyed all things Batman as he’d tell everyone that he IS, in fact, Batman. In many ways, he embodied the characters traits in real life. Always fighting the good fight and trying to help others.

He is survived by his daughter Jayla Dupree, siblings: Monique Dupree, Bashir Holman, Yakim Holman, Aminah Dupree, Christian Dupree, Jenelle  Dupree. His father: James Dupree, his Aunt Geraldine Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
