Ms. Fannie Mae Zimmerman, born on October 25, 1927, in South Carolina, passed away peacefully in Maryland on April 3, 2025, at the age of 97. An individual of remarkable grace and strength, Fannie lived a life characterized by her unwavering commitment to her family, community, and faith.

Fannie’s early years in South Carolina were spent cultivating a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life, which she carried with her throughout her journey. In pursuit of a better future, she moved to Maryland where she became an integral part of the community, dedicating her time and energy to various local initiatives that aimed to uplift those around her.

Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted member of the Holy Temple Holiness Church of Deliverance in Baltimore. There she contributed not just as a congregant, but also by participating in numerous church activities, reinforcing her belief in service and community unity. Fannie’s warm heart and infectious spirit touched the lives of many, offering support and encouragement to friends and neighbors alike.

Services to honor her remarkable life will be held at the Holy Temple Holiness Church of Deliverance, located at 2016 West Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD. A viewing will take place on April 18, 2025, from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by visitation on April 19, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A Celebration of Life will also be held on April 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM, where friends and family are invited to share their cherished memories. Fannie will be interred at the Maryland National Cemetery in Laurel on April 21, 2025, following a burial service at 10:00 AM.
