As I sit and think of what you mean to me,I grow weak from the heartache of knowing your gone. The sister I wanted and needed growing up… the friend that everyone should have, my mentor in so many ways.I love you more than words can convey and weep for those of us that have to endore this world without people like you in it anymore. You have blessed my life more than you could ever know and in many ways helped me to be the mom I am today. Kiss Gran Pop, Granny, uncle Al,aunt Joyce and Box and continue to watch over me in heaven as you did while in this world. I LOVE YOU COUSIN RE! Shawnie

No one can really express their feelings towards someone who has lost a child or a sister unless they’ve experienced that same loss. Gloria, Kim & Robbie, my sincere and deepest condolences go out to you and also to Reka’s extended family members. I pray that God’s loving arms surround you all and He gives you His peace which surpasses all understanding. Love & God’s Blessings, Tricia

Hi Shaneka,
My names is Valerie Keys(Jones). I grew up on Chelsea Terrace with your Mom and went to elementary school with her. We walked to school together and walked back home together. I’m so sorry for your loss. I googled her some months ago and that’s how I found out. I been living in TX for the past 20 years. I loved reading the lovely messages that everyone posted on here. Reka has always been such a sweet person with such a sweet soul. I know it’s been 9 years but I know it’s still hard, but with God it gets better. I found a school picture of her the other day when we were at Edgewood Elementary and she hasn’t changed a bit. Take care of yourself and know she’s watching over you.
