The Life/Journey
of
Elder Terelle Howard
Terelle Howard, born April 20, 1981 @ 9:59 am, was born to Adrienne L. Clark and the late Glenwood L. Howard @ the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest until the Lord permanently changed his address.
In 1984, Terelle begins his schooling by first attending Head Start. He then moved on and continued his education and graduated on Saturday, June 5, 1999, from Lake Clifton-Eastern Senior High School, by way of Coldstream Park Elementary, 1986-1992 and Winston Middle School, 1992-1995. He then matriculated to continue his studies at Baltimore Community College for a few years.
His working career began at an early age. In the summer of 1996, be volunteered at the Baltimore City Department of Social Service. Then in the summer of 1998 he had an internship with the State Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation Unemployment Division, Baltimore, Maryland. In the summer of 1999, he then began an internship @ the Fidelity and Deposit Companies of Maryland. In the summer of 2000 and 2002, he began an internship with the Judiciary System of the State of Maryland – Circuit Court for Baltimore City, Baltimore, Maryland. In the fall 2000, he began working at the Hecht’s Department Store of the May Corporation. In the summer of 2001, he began working with the Department of Recreation and Parks Summer Food Program, while still working at Hectch’s. And on October 16, 2002, started his career with the State of Maryland government, in the Licensing Department of the Baltimore City Circuit Court. He also worked in the Civil Division and the Mortgage Foreclosure Division. In 2008, he upgraded and began working for the Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation Maryland Home Improvement Commission, until his retirement on February 1, 2018.
Terelle faithfully served his church throughout his life. The first 21 years of his life was at his home church Harvest Christian Worship Center, UHCA, (formerly Holy Trinity UHCA). In 2001, the Lord sent Terelle to City of Hope (formally Covenant Church) under the leadership of Bishop Joseph A. McCargo. In the summer of 2002, the Lord shifted his pastor, Elder Melvin G. Boulware, Sr to re-launch his ministry and thus, Harvest Life Changers Worship Center, was formed. Having served his pastor until in 2013, the Lord sent Terelle to his current church, Renew Hope Praise & Worship Ministries, where Elder Dr. Debra A. Hunter was the pastor & founder. Terelle’s ministry continued to grow and flourish. He served in whatever capacity his pastor needed him to serve. Even during ministry, in January of 2013, Terelle found time to join the awesome sounds of Divine Anointing Community Choir under the leadership of its founder, Nadja Scott. This community choir has traveled and sung on major platforms across the states.
Terelle has been in church his whole life, but on one Saturday, in the spring of 1995, while attending the United Holy Church of America Spring Rally, he felt a tug on his heart when the appeal was made and he looked at his aunt, then proceeded to the altar and he accepted the Lord as his personal savior and have been running ever since. Even though he was young, he has held various ministry gifts within the church, including trustee, praise and worship team, served on the Usher’s board, but his passion was serving the leaders as an amour bearer. Even with any other position or gift that he poses, serving the leaders was his main heart. On July 9, 2010, he was officially ordained as a Deacon under the Kingdom Fellowship Covenant Ministry under the leadership of Archbishop Ralph L. Dennis. With many people asking and inquiring about the next level in ministry, the Lord saw promotion was in order and on May 28, 2022, under the leadership of Interim Pastor, Elder Delroy Curtis, Jr, was ordained as an Elder in the Lord’s church.
1997 was one of the worse years for Terelle. On February 1st, the Lord saw fit to call his maternal grandfather, Norman Clark from his labor to rest. And eight months later, on October 29th, the Lord called home his maternal grandmother, Doretha Inez Chapman Clark from her labor to rest. On December 8, 2009, the Lord rewarded his godmother, Apostle Jackie Howard, with her rest. In 2010, after watching the physical transition of his father for eighteen months, on September 3, his father slipped away and gained his rest. In 2020, the Lord saw fit to grant his step-grandmother, Kizzie Hodges, her enteral rest on August 22nd. Five days later, on August 27, 2020, his paternal grandmother, Josephine Howard, went to sleep on this side. On March 18, 2021, his spiritual mother, pastor and aunt, Dr. Debra A. Hunter fell asleep on this side. Also in 2021, on April 9, his uncle, Norman Clark, Sr, gained his rest.
