Mr. Alvin Peay

ALVIN R. PEAY (RAGGS) entered this life on November 19, 1966 to Deborah Peay-Gilmore and Alvin R. Coles. His earthy journey ended on August 28, 2025. He had a fulfilling life - just the way he liked it. Not a whole lot of “fuss and buss.” He was low- keyed and very loving. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system in RETS Technical Institute. He was quite artistic and was drawing cars at an early age. He was handy around the house, fixing thing and even delivered puppies at an early age. He was quite gifted! Raggs worked in several field: culinary, security, an as an electrician throughout his lifetime. He had a special love for his cousins. Each one was special to him! He also loved the little children, as well. Since 2019, he suffered with many illnesses until this last one. He was a fighter and kept the Lord foremost in his heart and mind. Raggs frequently attended the Refuge Way of the Cross Church of Christ with his mother, Missionary Deborah Gilmore and brother, Wayne Peay. As his mother, I witnessed him receiving the Holy Ghost on the right side of his bedroom in 2023. I also witnessed him departing this life on the left side of his bedroom in 2025. God is truly amazing! He was proceeded in death by his bonus dad, Leroy D. Gilmore; brothers, Travis Leelee; grandparents, aunts, and uncles. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Deborah Gilmore; father, Alvin Coles; children, Alvin, Malik, and Darius; brothers, Wayne, Brain, Michael, Dominick, and David; sisters, Dawn, Shawnic, Anishia; God daughter, Chamia; aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
